About Us

The Wildcat Boosters Club is a volunteer organization made up of parents of Waconia school district students who are interested in supporting Wildcat athletic programs. The Boosters Club exists to raise money, primarily through concessions and apparel sales, that is given back to Waconia teams and programs. All parents of Waconia school students are eligible and encouraged to participate in the Wildcat Boosters Club. There are no memberships, no dues, no hassles- just show up at one of our monthly meetings to get started!

The Wildcat Boosters Club is separate from the Waconia High School Activities Department, but works very closely with the Waconia Activities Director, Mr. Dave Kuehn, to provide funding for Waconia athletic programs. Mr. Kuehn attends each of our monthly meetings and submits funding requests to the Boosters Club on behalf of the school’s athletic programs.

Each year, the Boosters Club raises and gives back approximately $40,000 in Waconia athletic programs. Most of this money is raised through the sale of concessions at home athletic events, the sale of Wildcat apparel, advertising on the annual Wildcat activities calendar and gymnasium scoreboard, and through donations made by Wildcat Program Sponsors. The money raised by the Wildcat Boosters is used to purchase things like equipment, uniforms, warm-ups, and facility enhancements. In addition, the Wildcat Boosters spend approximately $15,000 annually to contract with Ridgeview Sports Medicine to provide athletic trainers for the Waconia athletic teams.
